Symbolizing courage, strength, wisdom, and protection, the Rowan & Irish Oak trees have a long and sacred history in Celtic Mythology.
Believing it embodied the strength of their gods, ancient Celts termed the Irish Oak the “King of the Forest” and considered it the most sacred of all trees. For peace of mind, they religiously planted Rowan trees next to their houses for protection; a custom still practiced today in Ireland.
Rowan Oak’s mission is to embody the symbolism behind these mythical trees by using our strengths and wisdom to provide exceptional experiences while educating our guests on how to protect nature and equipping them with the courage to do so.
